The Isle of Man Astronomical Society is again hosting public stargazing events at Onchan Park.

Subject to the weather, they take place tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow from 7pm to 9pm at the park, which is a registered Dark Sky Discovery site.

Society members will be on hand with telescopes and high-powered binoculars for visitors to explore the wonders of the night sky.

Participants are advised to wrap up warm and prepare for some stargazing fun.

Everyone taking part is encouraged not to ’wave flash lights about as there will be astronomers at work’. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
