The family of Julie Brew (nee Quirk) have expressed their thanks to all those who took part in and supported the 10th annual, 10-mile Julie Brew Memorial Walk on October 1.

The event was organised by Western Athletic Club and held in conjunction with the club’s Western 10 Road Run.

The family would also like to thank WAC and their team of volunteers for their hard work in holding a successful and enjoyable event, Marty at Peel AFC for the use of the clubhouse and his service on the day, St. John’s Ambulance for their back-up and all those who advertised the event in advance.

Special thanks from the family also go to Kirby Park Garden Centre and the Creek Inn for sponsoring the walk and the run, as well as all those who have given and are raising sponsor money.

Cheques for this year’s chosen charities of Rebecca House and Craig’s HeartStrong Foundation will be presented in December.
