Two lambs from a farm in Bride have died after another incident of sheep worrying, say police in the north of the island.

The incident has sparked a fresh appeal from officers to dog owners to keep their pets on leads.

The northern neighbourhood team said:’We ask you again - please keep your dogs under control.

’If you think your dog has got loose and may be around farm land please let the Police know.’

The team put the picture of one of the lambs on their Facebook page. They say the photos of the second lamb are ’too graphic to share as it has been skinned and gutted’.

If anyone has any information about this incident they should contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234.

It is the latest in a string of sheep worrying incidents around the island.

Police say dog owners should always take precautions when exercising their pets near livestock such as sheep and cattle.
