Decision on Isle of Man schools opening to be made in the morningTheir Hoolie rum has so far received three customer ratings, all of five stars, and is described as: ‘A marvellous white rum from the Isle of Man. According to the folks at Outlier Distilling, “Hoolie” is a Manx word meaning “bloody windy”. We’ve heard there is a fair bit of weather to deal with up there, but it didn’t stop the team from lighting up their wood-fired still to produce this splendid molasses-based rum. Charcoal filtered, it’s an ideal choice for an array of classic cocktails.’
One customer who reviewed Hoolie wrote: ‘A wonderful, fresh tasting white rum, great for a classic daiquiri, but also makes a tasty high proof blended cocktail’.
Tasting notes for their schnapps read: The Isle of Man might not be the first place you think of when it comes to schnapps, but the folks at Outlier Distilling have put it on the schnapps map with this berry-filled offering. Hand foraged blackberries and elderberries are fermented and distilled to create this delightfully bold and fruity expression. Top stuff for sipping as a digestif, and ought to make a rather good alternative to gin or vodka in some fruity cocktails too.
