The Mountain Road will be closed until 1pm today at the earliest following torrential rain.Meanwhile, following further consultation with the Met Office, Clerk of the TT Course Gary Thompson has advised that no racing or qualifiers will take place today due to continued bad weather.This means that the 2nd Monster Energy Supersport race will not take place this year and a consultation is currently being undertaken with the TT Zero teams on this year's SES TT Zero Race.
There were reports of flooding in the area of Brandywell towards Windy Corner.
Police said that flooding and treacherous conditions with torrential rain and fog have meant it is dangerous to drive over the mountain.
Roads policing officers say they will reassess the road at 1pm.
Yesterday, the emergency services dealt with a collision involving three motorcycles at Archallagan.
The Archallaghan Road between the Foxdale Road junction and The Hope at St John’s was closed for about an hour while paramedics attended to the casualties.
