Two weeks of creative arts workshops aimed at children and teenagers get underway at the Youth Arts Centre, in Kensington Road, from next week.

The ’Art Tank’ summer creative project is a two week-long session of workshops, and is aimed at children aged nine years or over.

Led by artist Anna Clucas (pictured above), the course begins on Monday, August 12, with the second course beginning on Monday, August 19, and will see children being taught various techniques, such as ceramic work, sculpting, sketching, print-making, and papier mache.

’Five Days of Dance’ begins on Monday, August 19, and is led by contemporary dancer Beth Brown.

Aimed at children aged eight years and over, the course will introduce kids to various styles of dance, including ballet, jazz and contemporary.

Children can be booked on for any of the courses from 10am until 4pm, priced at £100 per child, or 8.30pm until 6pm for at £135 per week.
