The weather forecast from the Met Office:
A risk of icy patches over high ground at first today, but turning increasingly cloudy with some showery outbreaks of rain developing this morning, and gradually clearing later this afternoon. A light to moderate south to south-easterly wind, which will turn to the northeast later with highs of 7°C.
This evening and tonight will be mainly dry with some clear spells and light winds, allowing temperatures to fall close to freezing giving a fairly widespread ground frost.
After a cold and frosty start to the day, tomorrow will be bright with sunny spells and one or two passing showers. Highest temperature around 7°C with a light and variable breeze.
A cloudy start on Friday with the threat of a little light rain at first, but soon becoming dry with some bright or perhaps sunny spells breaking through. Top temperature around 8°C with a mainly moderate west to north-westerly wind. Rain will then arrive from the west overnight into Saturday as the southwest wind freshens.
