The Manx Operatic production of the musical ’Ghost’ has been postponed.
Due to open at the Gaiety Theatre today (Saturday, March 28), the society was left with no option but to cancel the seven-show run and aim to re-schedule it for a future date.
A statement on the Manx Operatic Society’s Facebook page said: ’The Manx Operatic Society is heartbroken to announce that we are not going to be able to perform ’Ghost the Musical’ at this time.
’The closure of the Gaiety today was of no shock to the Society as we were ourselves implementing plans to announce a postponement in the coming days.
’As you can imagine this close to an opening performance there was a lot to co-ordinate and consider, however, the health and safety of our cast, crew and our audience were always our top priority.
’The Gaiety Theatre are now contacting those who purchased tickets in order to arrange the issue of a full refund.’
’The Society wishes to thank everyone for their continued support during these unprecedented times and we look forward to bringing ’Ghost the Musical’ to the Gaiety stage at a future date.
