The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) were called to the Isle of Man twice over the weekend to deal with separate incidents.

On Saturday (August 1), the critical care team was activated at 1.27pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Glenfaba.

GNAAS had a paramedic and doctor on board their aircraft, which arrived on scene at 2.06pm. Working alongside the Isle of Man Ambulance Service, they assessed and treated a patient before airlifting them to hospital.

On Sunday, the critical care team was then activated at 10.07am to reports of a sport and leisure incident on the A2 road in Onchan.

Arriving on scene at 10.54am, the team worked alongside the Isle of Man Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient.

Meanwhile, last week the GNAAS critical care team were called to an incident in the Ballaugh area.

A spokesperson said that on Thursday they had a paramedic and doctor on board an aircraft and they arrived on scene at 11.19am.
