A controversial UK-based anti-abortion group is back in the island.
Last time Abort67 held vigil here, there were calls for them to be banned from the island.
Now they are back and will be protesting all week outside the Tynwald building, complete with banners showing images of aborted foetuses, ahead of Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson introducing his Abortion Reform Bill in the House of Keys.
Abort 67’s Aisling Hubert described it as ’one of the most extreme abortion bills in Europe’.
But abortion reform campaigners CALM said the images will offend and upset many office workers. They said: ’The tactic of Abort67 is to goad those who disagree with them into reacting, so the best reaction is to ignore them.’
