Face coverings will be required in Tesco from tomorrow (January 13).

The manager of the Douglas supermarket, Neil Connell, made the announcement via Facebook.

He said that if people did not enter with face coverings on, they would not be permitted into the store, unless people had exemptions.

One customer per trolley will also be implemented from tomorrow.

Mr Connell said: ’No entry for more than 1 person per trolley unless you are a carer or a single parent with their child.

’All of the above is to ensure the safety of both our colleagues and our customers.’
