The government has confirmed that another person has died of coronavirus in the island.

In a statement, they said: 'We’re deeply saddened to announce the death of an Island resident from COVID-19.

'The individual was receiving treatment at Noble’s Hospital.

'Our thoughts are with their loved ones at this difficult time.'

As of today the number of deaths in the island has risen to 13 since February 15.

Yesterday the figure sat at 12.

There are 50 new cases on the island, bringing the total number to 424.

Six people are in still in hospital with Covid-19, with one in the ICU.
