No Manx patients have been treated in the past week at a Liverpool hospital at the centre of a coronavirus alert.
It was confirmed this week that a surgeon at Liverpool’s Aintree University Hospital has tested positive for coronavirus.
The medic, who had recently returned from a holiday in Italy, has been in self-isolation since he was diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus on Monday.
But there are claims the consultant continued to operate on patients and mix with colleagues for around a week after returning from Italy.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been contacting patients who may have come into contact with the surgeon.
The hospital remains open and patients are being advised to attend their appointments as planned.
The Isle of Man’s Health Minister David Ashford said: ’No Manx patients have been treated by the health care worker at Aintree who has been diagnosed, or attended that particular section of the hospital.
’We work closely with all our third sector partners in relation to all public health risks.
’It was one individual who had recently returned to Italy and those that had been in contact with him are self isolating as a precaution.’
So far 25 people in the island have been tested for coronavirus but no cases have been confirmed.
A spokesman for Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: ’A member of staff has been in self-isolation since being confirmed as positive for Covid-19.
’We have contacted all the patients that are identified as coming into contact with the staff member and are working with Public Health England and NHS England to inform and advise those who may have come into contact with this individual.
’Aintree University Hospital remains open and patients should attend their appointments as planned.’
