Fans of Isle of Man based racehorse owner Trevor Hemmings were in for a treat as he scored a one-two in the last race on ITV 4 this afternoon.
The Grand National winning owner was not at Sandown Park to see the race.
Deise Aba (7-1) marked himself out as a future Grand National contender after defeating Cloudy Glen by three and a half lengths to give owner Mr Hemmings a one-two in the Betway Masters Handicap Chase.
Sarah Hobbs, wife of winning trainer Philip, said: ’He had an attitude problem last season, but suddenly he has clicked this season.
’He has jumped very well today, though he did put down once, but (jockey) Tom (O’Brien) said he wanted him to do that as he was enjoying it so much he would have got there too soon.
’He did jump very well and is maybe a future Grand National horse.’
The second placed horse Cloudy Glen is trained by Venetia Williams and was ridden by Charlie Deutsch.
Mr Hemmings has won the Grand National three times with Hedgehunter, Ballabriggs and Many Clouds.
