All Heron and Brearley’s 33 pubs have shut with immediate effect following this morning’s announcement regarding the latest circuit-breaker lockdown.

Posting on social media the Kewaigue-based company said: ’As you will have heard, the Chief Minister has announced that the island is to go into a third Covid-19 ’circuit-breaker’ lockdown from midnight tonight, Tuesday, March 2.

’As this is the result of further community transmission of Covid-19, we are immediately closing all our venues.

’All our pubs are now closed until further notice. This third lockdown is anticipated to last three weeks and, as ever, we’ll be following the guidelines and advice provided by the Isle of Man Government and Public Health and we’ll re-open when advised to do so.

’You can be rest assured that, once we have the green light to re-open, we’ll follow best practice to do so safely.

’In the meantime, we will be looking at relaunching our takeaway services in selected sites from tomorrow Wednesday, please keep an eye on our website and Facebook pages for updates.’
