Hospice Isle of Man has announced the return of its Cakes for Care fundraising campaign, which will take place from October 5 to 11 as part of Hospice Care Week.

Now in its third year, the initiative encourages individuals, businesses, schools and community groups across the island to organise cake-themed fundraising events in support of Hospice services.

Participants are invited to host a range of events, including coffee mornings, bake sales, afternoon teas and office bake-offs, with organisers also encouraging supporters to come up with their own creative fundraising ideas.

The campaign has raised more than £13,000 over the past two years to support Hospice Isle of Man's services.

Hospice says all money raised through Cakes for Care remains on the Isle of Man and goes directly towards supporting local Hospice care.

Vanessa Smith, head of income generation at Hospice Isle of Man, said: ’We have been truly overwhelmed by the community’s continued enthusiasm for Cakes for Care, and we are thrilled to be launching the 2026 campaign for its third year in support of our Hospice.

‘Every penny raised helps us continue delivering excellence in palliative and end‑of‑life care for our island community, so every slice shared really does help us bake a difference.

‘We would love for you to get involved once again - raise a cuppa, raise some funds, and help support Hospice Isle of Man.’

People taking part can register online to receive a free fundraising pack containing recipes, branded posters, bunting, cake toppers, labels and activity ideas. Additional downloadable resources are also available through the Hospice Isle of Man website to help organisers plan their events.
