Huge fire breaks out at house in Douglas

A fire has broken out at a house on Victoria Road in Douglas, with eyewitnesses reporting smoke and flames in the area.

Victoria Road was initially closed between the junctions of Glencrutchery Road and the Tesco roundabout following what police described as an ongoing multi-agency incident.

Glencrutchery Road has also since been closed between Governors Hill and Dukes Avenue.

Eyewitnesses have reported seeing significant amounts of smoke and flames near the supermarket and petrol station, and near Braddan Football Club.
