Breathe Easy Isle of Man, the local support group of the British Lung Foundation, held an information event at Noble’s Hospital earlier this week to mark World Asthma Awareness Day.
The day, which has now been held annually for 10 years, usually has a theme and for 2018 the theme was ’allergy and asthma’. Asthma is a chronic lung disease which causes breathing difficulties and affects sufferers to varying degrees.
The aim of the day was raising awareness of asthma and how it affects sufferers, as well as raising support for sufferers and their families.
