Jonathan Eio¸ is 37 and currently lives in London
Born on the Isle of Man, Jonathan grew up in Glen Maye and attended the QEII High School, before forging a career in the performing arts.
He has two children, Travis, who is six and Cooper, three. He is a professional actor, singer, songwriter and vocal coach, and is also a lecturer in music.
Jonathan has appeared in many stage shows, including the number one UK tour ’Half a Sixpence’, ’Spring Awakening’ and ’West Side Story’, at the Bridewell Theatre, London, amongst many others.
He has also appeared on national television, include performing as a vocalist for Elton John’s Choir, on the Eurovision show ’Making your Mind Up’, the Paul O Grady Show, the X Factor and Britain’s got Talent.
What is your idea of a perfect meal?
Good old fashioned bangers and mash! I like a good sausage.
What is your favourite way to relax?
I love listening to music and playing piano
What is your greatest extravagance?
I am a bit of a Nike fan, as I go running so I’ve spent quite a bit on running shoes in the past. As well as that, I am a mad apple mac fan.
Do you have any pets?
Nope, I have no time to look after an animal, unfortunately.
What is your greatest achievement?
My two children. I have to pinch myself that they are mine.
What is your favourite time of the year?
I love Autumn, especially Bonfire night and the darker nights.
What is the first job you ever had?
I worked as a shop assistant at Gayles Fayre in Peel, for £2 per hour. I thought I was rich!
Do you have any irrational fears?
I have a fear of drowning. It’s the scariest thing. I sometimes sleep with a snorkel on on holiday just in case.
What is your worst habit? I have the biggest and worst habit of over-thinking. It drives me insane. But comes with the job.
What is your favourite book? I’m afraid I am a graphic novel fan, so it would be anything ’cartoony’ or hand drawn.
What is your favourite TV programme?
At the moment, Its the Flash and Suits. There is some great acting and terrific story lines in the latter one.
What is your favourite band/artist at the moment?
I am a huge boyband fan, so it would have to be Take that, a band called Gypsy Velvet. But my all time favourite is Queen and Adam Lambert.
What is your favourite part of the Isle of Man?
The Waterfall at Glen Maye, where I grew up. It is beautiful.
What is the last show/band that you saw live?
Bruno Mars Live at the o2 and Take that.
If time/money were no object, what would be your perfect day?
A day in the apple store , London. I would buy everything.
Choose three people, dead or alive, to invite to dinner? Gary Barlow, Anna Kendrick and Elton John!
