The Isle of Man Met Office has issued a fresh Amber weather warning.

The alert kicks-in at around 1.21pm on Wednesday and will last for a ‘few hours’ according to forecasters.

Met Office forecasters at Ronaldsway has warned that a large spring high tide will combine with high winds to bring an unsettled period of weather with ‘large waves’ breaking over some coastal areas.

There is also a risk of debris being thrown onto the shore as a result of the bad weather.

Areas likely to be hit include Shore Road, Castletown promenade, northern parts of Douglas promenade and possibly Laxey and Ramsey promenades.
