The Isle of Man Constabulary is investigating a video circulating on social media involving a man stopped by an activist group in Belfast.

According to the Constabulary, the man purports to have travelled to Belfast from the Isle of Man with an allegedly unlawful purpose.

Detectives in Douglas are in contact with colleagues in the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), with enquiries now under way.

A spokesperson from the Constabulary commented: ‘While police appreciate the public’s willingness to assist, the footage is already in our possession and no further help with identification is required.

‘Thank you for your assistance.’
