Hollywood star and narrator of the documentary TT3D: Closer to the Edge, Jared Leto, has been accused of sexual misconduct.

Four women have made allegations against the actor, according to a BBC investigation.

One woman accused him of sexual assault, another said she was threatened with sexual assault, while a third alleged she had sex with the actor when she was 17 in California, where the age of consent is 18. A fourth woman claimed she was groomed by him as a teenager.

Similar allegations have surfaced previously. Leto has since reacted to the latest allegations with the Sun reporting him saying: 'I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.’

Leto won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2014 for his role in Dallas Buyers Club.

He is also the frontman of rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars and played comic nook villain The Joker in the 2016 film Suicide Squad.

He narrated the acclaimed documentary TT3D: Closer to the Edge, which was released in 2011.

After confirming he was narrating the film, Leto said: 'I'm proud to be a part of this groundbreaking film that celebrates this famous event and the legendary spirit of the men and women who push themselves beyond the limit to places few could even imagine.'

In total, 10 women spoke to the BBC documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, with nine sharing their stories publicly for the first time.

The women said they encountered Leto between 2002 and 2016, when he was in his 30s and 40s. He is now 54.

Similar allegations have previously been reported in the US media, including by publication Air Mail, which reported claims similar to those featured in the BBC investigation.
