The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is inviting people affected by sight loss, their family and friends, to share opinions and experiences.

It is calling for interested people to go to an event on Monday, April 9, from 10.30am to 1pm, at Keyll Darree, Noble’s Hospital.

Addressing people who might be interested, Jacqueline Witherow, area network manager RNIB Northern Ireland and Isle of Man, said: ’We want to know what’s important to you and explore how together we can make positive changes in your life, your local community, and wider society.

’As we approach our 150-year anniversary in October 2018, it’s a great chance for us to take stock and listen afresh to what it’s like living with sight loss in Isle of Man - from people we know already and those who haven’t engaged with us yet.

’This is a perfect opportunity to shape how we can, together, best support people affected by sight loss, both now and into the future.’

RNIB intends to share the findings from these discussions in early June.
