A yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping is in place.

It applies to Castletown Promenade, Shore Road Rushen, and perhaps the northern end of Douglas Promenade and Laxey Promenade.

The warning is in place until tomorrow (Friday) at 3pm.

The Met Office forecast for today:

Any light rain or drizzle at first today will soon die out, leaving the rest of the day dry.

It will remain cloudy and quite dull, but the mist and fog will lift from the high ground.

Fresh or locally strong southerly winds, with the maximum temperature 12 Celsius.

Tonight clear intervals will develop, then tomorrow will be dry with bright or sunny intervals.

Temperatures will be mild, but still rather breezy with fresh south or southeast winds.
