Visit Isle of Man, an agency of the Department for Enterprise, is hosting a hospitality recruitment day next week.

The day is designed to provide individuals with the chance to find out more about summer job availability and more permanent careers within hospitality in the island.

Individuals of all ages and experience are welcome to attend, including those considering joining the industry and those already working in hospitality who are seeking further opportunities to develop within.

Angela Byrne, head of Visit Isle of Man, said: ’As the island gears up to welcome visitors back to our shores, tourism and hospitality businesses are seeking to recruit fun, energetic, enthusiastic and passionate staff to help us welcome guests back into our venues throughout the island.

’This event is a fantastic opportunity for hospitality sector to get directly in front of an interested audience to promote any vacant positions they require filling.

’It also provides the chance for individuals to talk directly to recruiters about new skills they can learn and what experiences they can be a part of whilst working in this vibrant industry.

There is a wide scope of roles available from housekeepers, receptionists and luggage porters, to chefs and food and beverage assistants.’

The event is taking place at the Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino between midday and 4pm on Wednesday, June 9.

Hospitality businesses with job opportunities who are interested in exhibiting are asked to contact the Visit Isle of Man team before 5pm on Friday (June 4) by emailing [email protected] or calling 686663.
