After Thursday’s General Election, 24 newly elected MHKs are set to appoint a new Speaker for the House of Keys as part of their first official sitting on Tuesday afternoon.
The 15 new members, as well as the nine who were re-elected in their constituencies, will undergo the formal processes of appointing the speaker at 2.30pm.
All 24 MHKs were officially sworn in to their roles on Tuesday morning ahead of their first official sitting.
