Following an appeal to Isle of Man Examiner readers by her daughter Doreen, Mabel Statham received 245 cards in total for her 100th birthday at the Springfield Grange nursing home.

Being unable to visit due to Covid-19 restrictions, Doreen made the appeal in the newspaper with a well-surpassed goal of getting Mabel 100 cards.

She would like to thank everyone who sent cards, some of which came from as far as Hong Kong and Australia.
