A man has been accused of wielding a baseball bat in a confrontation with passers-by.
Robert William James Houghton, of College Street, Ramsey, denied charges of affray and possessing an offensive weapon - a wooden baseball bat - when he appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes on Tuesday.
He is accused of confronting two people who were out walking their dogs - after he heard them mention his name.
Mr Houghton, 39, is alleged to have come outside, accompanied by a Rottweiler, to challenge them and to have produced a baseball bat.
The alleged incident took place at about 10pm on September 8, when the two others were on their way to visit a friend.
Mr Houghton’s case was adjourned until November 14. Mr Houghton was granted bail in his own recognisance of £500, with a curfew from 8pm to 6am and a condition that he does not keep dogs in the mean time
