Police have issued a stern warning to cyclists, urging them to avoid the Mountain Road during the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT.
Isle of Man Constabulary says a number of people were arrested during this year’s TT after ignoring signs banning cyclists from the A18 route.
The force said: ‘Multiple people were arrested during the TT period for cycling on the Mountain Road. Cycling is also prohibited during the Manx Grand Prix/Classic TT period.
‘There is clear signage across the Mountain Road advising that cycling on this section of the course is not permitted.’
Cycling is prohibited on the road between Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg-ny-Baa from 9.30am on Friday, August 14, until 4.30pm on Monday, August 31.
