A requisition meeting has been called in Peel to discuss new legislation regarding motor homes on the island.
The meeting will be held at the Corrin Hall, starting at 7pm on Thursday, May 25.
It will be attended by Department of Infrastructure minister and Peel MHK Ray Harmer.
It is an offence to park a motorhome weighing more than 2,540kg on a road with speed restrictions, either overnight or at the weekend.
The police can enforce the law but we previously reported how the Department of Infrastructure wants to give parking controllers and traffic wardens the power to issue fixed penalty notices.
The Road Traffic Legislation (Amendment) Bill, currently before Legislative Council, will allow that.
