The Methodist Ladies’ Luncheon Club resumed on Wednesday, October 18, at the Mount Murray Golf Club.

After the annual general meeting the ladies enjoyed a delicious three-course luncheon which was followed by a most inspiring and informative talk from Mrs Pauline Brew on the life and achievements of the great Manx worthy, Henry Bloom Noble, which was much appreciated.

This group meets on the third Wednesday of the month during the autumn and winter and is open to any lady : you do not need to belong to a church and you will be made very welcome.

If you are interested in coming along - please contact Mrs Ella Kaighin on 621921 or anyone you know who belongs to the Methodist Church.

Our programme for the coming season continues on November 15 with Mrs Brenda Kinnish, ’Experiences as a Salvation Army Officer’; December 20, Gareth Moore, ’Christmas Celebrations’; January 17, Angela Southern, ’Trekking in Peru’; February 21 Michael Hoy MBE, ’History of King William’s College’ and finally on March 21, Panda Dooley, ’Manor Ark, Pulrose’. We look forward to welcoming new guests and members to one or more of our forthcoming events.
