Cabinet Office Minister David Ashford has visited Douglas City Library to take part in a free health check using the Mini Health Station.

The self-service health station has been visiting locations across the Isle of Man, offering free health assessments to people aged 16 and over.

The checks are designed to provide users with an overview of their health and wellbeing in just a few minutes. Measurements include blood pressure, heart rate, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), body composition and cardiovascular risk. The station also features short alcohol and stress questionnaires.

The next opportunity to use the Mini Health Station will be at the Royal Agricultural Show on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8.

It will be located in the Traders Marquee, and will be available from 9am until 5.30pm.
