The Friends of Jurby Church are running an exhibition featuring knitted mice for what would have been the Manx Grand Prix fortnight.
The exhibition, at St Patrick’s Church, is open daily from 10am to 4pm until September 4.
A small family of mice that used to live in the church were the inspiration for the exhibition and they were given names and human characteristics.
The Friends of Jurby Church then set about giving the knitted mice stories to tell including the Jurby mice strike gold, pantomime land and a nursery rhyme parade.
Due to the pandemic the church hasn’t been able to put on its usual flower festival.
The display is biosphere-themed and features Manx plants and hedges.
There is also tea and cake available at the back of the church for visitors.
The exhibition is to raise money for the church as it missed out on funds from visitors coming over for the TT.
Sandra Kerrison, the secretary for the Friends of Jurby Church, said: ’We have missed our TT visitors coming for their tea, cake and chat and so we decided we must do something during the Manx Grand Prix fortnight.’
