Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer stepped aboard HMS Brocklesby when she visited the Isle of Man at the weekend.
He posted photos on his Twitter account.
HMS Brocklesby is a Hunt class mine countermeasures vessel.
Sir John tweeted: ‘Delighted to meet the Captain, Lt Cdr Jonny Campbell and some of the ship’s company.’
