The number of people out of work is up.

Government statistics reveal that the number looking for a job is higher than it was a year ago.

There were five people more unemployed in November this year than October.

And there were 11 more on the register than in November 2017.

It means that the official unemployment rate is 0.8% but under International Labour Organisation rules, that’s 1.8%.
