Residents of Peel worked with officers to sweep up nails that had fallen onto a road yesterday (Friday).

Ballaquane road in Peel has since been opened after officers temporarily cordoned off the area due to a large spillage of nails.

A ’big thank you’ was given by the police to those who brought along their own brooms to take part in the clean up.
