An emerging indie rock group are going from strength to strength after releasing their debut album this week.
Penelope Isles unveiled their long-awaited first release ’Until The Tide Creeps In’, on the Bella Union record label, gaining rave reviews in the indie music press.
The group, featuring Manx musicians Jack and Lily Wolter, have been heavily featured in the national mediasince the release, with many magazines and national newspapers praising the album’s delicate melodies and well-crafted songs.
The Sunday Times said that the album is ’An undeniably lovely melange of dreampop and gentle psychedelia’, while MOJO magazine said ’whatever the framing, each track on their debut is about the song; its melody.

The Sun also gave the album four stars.
They were guests on the Radio One ’Introducing’ show, presented by Huw Stephens, and ’Until The Tide Creeps In’ was named as the album of the week by the independent record shop chain Rough Trade.
Also, tracks from their album have been featured daily by BBC 6 Music and in particular by DJ Steve Lamacq.
The four piece, who played a rapturously-received concert in the Isle of Manin February, now look forward to a summer of touring throughout the UK and Northern Europe, and will also head to America during October.
