Presenter Stu Peters has been dropped from his Late Night talk show on Manx Radio pending an investigation into alleged racism.
The incident occurred on his Wednesday night show and included several phone calls to the show including two made by a young black man.
Since then, following a backlash against Mr Peters and the state funded broadcaster on social media, radio boss Chris Sully confirmed Mr Peters has been stood down from his show.
Mr Sully said: ’Following comments on the Manx Radio Late Show last night, presenter Stu Peters will not be presenting the show further whilst the matter is investigated.
’George Ferguson will be presenting the Late Show.’
Isle of Man Creameries, which had sponsored Mr Peters’ show has now distanced itself from it and said it had pulled its sponsorship.
