Police say island residents are being cold called over the issue of abortion.
The constabulary took to social media to offer advice.
A tweet on @TweetbeatIOM said:’We believe people are being cold called with questions about abortion on the Island.
’Concerned people have asked us what to do. Simply tell them cold calling is illegal and hang up.’

There are conflicting comments on social media regarding which company is behind the calls, however it is understood they are based in Halifax.
Cold calling has been illegal on the island since 2016 both in person and over the phone.
