A Tynwald inquiry into how to encourage development of brownfield sites is inviting the views of the public.

Tynwald appointed the select committee in April to investigate options to encourage and prioritise development of unoccupied or previously developed urban sites ahead of building on green fields in the Manx countryside.

It will report its findings and recommendations in July.

The committee, chaired by Middle MHK Bill Shimmins, is inviting written submissions from anyone who would like to comment on the issue. This evidence may be published.

There is a deadline of Wednesday May 9 for submissions. These can be emailed to [email protected] or posted to Deputy Tynwald Clerk Jonathan King at the Legislative Buildings in Douglas, IM1 3PW.
