A Tynwald committee that’s considering the fireworks laws will be hearing evidence via video tomorrow (Wednesday).

From 2.30pm, they will hear from Judith Corrin, whose public petition seeking revision of the Fireworks Act 2004 led to the resolution in the February 2020 sitting of Tynwald Court to form a select committee.
The members of the committee comprises Daphne Caine MHK (chair), Rob Callister MHK and Kate Lord-Brennan MLC.#
The Legislative Buildings remain closed to the public. The committee, staff and witnesses will all participate remotely in this meeting. The evidence will be able to be heard via the livestream on the Tynwald website.
The recording will also be available after the session under the Listen Again section of the website and a Hansard transcription will be published in due course.
