And one applicant has waited 14 years to get a property, figures released in Tynwald show.

But Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer, in a written reply to a question from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper, said the applicant waiting 14 years, and the one waiting the next longest time of eight years, both required specific properties.

There are 210 on the regional shared housing list.
