Legislation to update the Isle of Man’s communications and broadcasting regulations will be brought forward next year.
Former Communications Commission chairman Juan Watterson, who was in charge when a consultation into updating the started at the end of 2015, asked his successor Bill Malarkey when the bill was due and the reason for the delay.
Mr Malarkey, who is also Home Affairs Minister, replied: ’The Communications Bill is due to enter the (Tynwald) branches in early 2018. It is a large and complex bill that has taken some time to draft.’
