Chief Minister Howard Quayle has met Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool.
Mr Quayle attended the event along with Enterprise Minister Laurence Skelly.
Ministers will also be attending the Conservative Party conference.
Labour’s annual conference in Liverpool began on Sunday and ends tomorrow (Wednesday).
And Mr Quayle will be joined by Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan and Health Minister David Ashford for the Tory Party conference the following week in Birmingham.
Senior officials from the external relations team will accompany them.
Labour, under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, has been highly critical of the role of tax havens.
Mr Quayle said he will be attempting to put straight some of the misinformation.
He told the Examiner: ’Attending the conferences gives us an insight into the party’s thinking and new policies being worked on.
’It gives Ministers the opportunity to engage in discussion with senior UK politicians on issues of direct concern to the Isle of Man.
’We can show the facts and figures.
’Ten years ago the finance sector’s share of the Manx economy was about 60% and now it’s about 34%. We’ve diversified our economy.
’We are one of a small handful of countries that are fully compliant with the OECD’s rules and regulations on tax transparency.’
