The government’s ’open skies’ policy will be discussed tomorrow (Friday) when Tynwald’s environment and infrastructure committee will question Ray Harmer MHK, Minister for Infrastructure, and Nick Black, his department’s chief executive.

Ann Reynolds, airport director and director of ports, will also attend the hearing.

The ’open skies’ policy means the island has a free market in air services and there is no obligation for any airline to maintain a minimum service.

The evidence will be taken in public from 10.30am in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Buck’s Road Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Rob Callister MHK, Clare Bettison MH, and Chris Robertshaw MHK are the members of the committee.
