The question of whether people should have rights regarding their grandchildren will be aired next week.
Tynwald’s social affairs policy review committee will be taking evidence on Monday, May 4, at 10am.
It will be held remotely via a video-conferencing platform.
Evidence will be heard from Terry and Heather Miles, whose petition for redress of grievance on the rights of grandparents was referred to thecommittee by Tynwald in November.
The members of the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee appointed by Tynwald are Martyn Perkins MHK and Julie Edge MHK.
The Legislative Buildings remain closed to the public.
The committee, staff and witnesses will all participate remotely in this meeting.
The evidence will be able to be heard via the livestream on the Tynwald website.
The recording will also be available after the session under the ’listen again’ section of the website and a Hansard transcription will be published later.
