Unemployment in the island fell again last month.
The number registered unemployed at the end of September stood at 885, a drop of 115.
It’s another sign that the Manx economy is recovering from the Covid lockdown.
But the jobless figure is still an increase of 565 compared to the same month last year.
And Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan has warned unemployment could rise with the phasing out of government support for most sectors.
The unemployment rate, the proportion of the economically active population registered unemployed, was 2.1% in September, down from 2.3% in August.
A total of 692 job vacancies were notified to the Job Centre during the month, an increase of 37.
At the end of the month, 395 remained. Of these, 54% (213) were full time.
International Labour Organisation estimates, which include those out of work but not registered unemployed, put the jobless figure at 1,480, down from 1,895 in August.
Catering, retail distribution, unskilled construction, tourist accommodation and financial institutions are among sectors with the highest levels of unemployment.
