Peel Sailing and Crusing Club awarded a number of prizes at its annual dinner.

The event, an evening of dinner and dancing, was held at Peel Golf Club on Saturday, March 9.

The prizes were presented by Sarah Prince and were the results of the 2018 racing season.

The following members were awarded prizes:

Jill Evans - Best Lady Sailor Shield (yacht Kondor);

Neil Eastham - RNLI Regatta Shield (yacht Diatas Air);

Peter Magee - Bruce Anchor (yacht Diatas Air);

Ben Mitchell - Captain Clague Cup (yacht Gealic Koffee);

Stuart Blackley - Isle of Man Yacht Club Tray (yacht Silver Spray);

Martin Birchenough - Club Member of the Year Shield;

Val Quayle - Manx Sailing & Cruising Club Shield, Swales Rose Bowl, HMS Chandlery Trophy and Bilge Keel Trophy (all four yacht Pamela Jane 2nd);

Mark Gosden - Wilson Cup (yacht Kondor);

Don Wilson - Elaine President Cup.

Meanwhile, the Peel Trad Boat Committee is holding a fundraising quiz night in the clubhouse on Friday, March 29.
