Queen Elizabeth II High School’s Student Council has raised £649.42 for the Manx SPCA.
The funds were raised through dress down days, charity bake sales and sponsored walks.
Juana Warburton from the ManxSPCA visited the school to be given a cheque.
The Student Council, which includes students from Years 7 - 13 (age 11 - 18), meet weekly to discuss matters of their choice.
This year one of their chosen charities is ’Jade’s Place’ in Rebecca House, the children’s hospice.
To raise money, they will hold a second hand uniform and ’vintage Christmas jumper’ stall at the School Association Christmas fair on Wednesday, November 25.
Delivering Christmas parcels and cards over the festive period and raising awareness of the Rainbow Flag Award are just some of the other things that the Student Council will take part in this year.
