Repair works at a junction on Lord Street in Douglas are due to begin next week.

Work on the raised tabletop at the Duke Street/Market Hill junction is scheduled to start on Tuesday, September 1.

The works will be carried out in stages to allow for curing times and are expected to take between two and three days.

A temporary traffic light authority is in place for up to four days to allow for any unforeseen delays, including adverse weather.

Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the works using temporary traffic lights.

Motorists have been warned that some delays may be experienced, particularly during peak travel times.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys or consider an alternative route where possible.
